  • Safe storage & Idaho law overview
  • Firearm parts & operation
  • Ammunition basics
  • Safe loading/unloading
  • Stance, grip, sights, trigger control, muzzle control
  • Range commands & etiquette

Live Fire

  • Slow-fire accuracy drills
  • Dry-fire integration
  • Instructor-coached firing lines

Performance Standard

  • Safe handling at all times
  • 80% hits inside 8” circle
  • Pass written safety check
  • Youth: Reduced round count, one-on-one coaching
  • Women-Only: Smaller class size, confidence-based pacing
  • LE/Veterans: May test-out of lecture portion

🎯 LEVEL 2 – Marksmanship & Gun Handling

Duration: 6–8 hours

Prerequisite: Level 1

Curriculum

  • Recoil management
  • Emergency & tactical reloads
  • Malfunction clearance (Type 1–3)
  • Shooting positions
  • Draw stroke (pistol, if applicable)
  • Accuracy vs speed balance

Live Fire

  • Controlled pairs
  • Reload & malfunction drills
  • Timed accuracy exercises

Performance Standard

  • 80% hits in 8” circle (Reduced size Targets)
  • Clear malfunctions under time
  • Safe muzzle discipline under movement
