Hour 1 – Introduction, Safety & Mindset (Classroom)

Duration: 60 minutes

Ladies Only – Pistol

Focus: Skill refinement, consistency, and confidence

NO defensive scenarios

Beginning holster work

Prerequisite: Ladies Only – Basic Pistol (Level 1)

Total Time: 6 Hours

Live Fire: ~6 hours

Training Philosophy (Level 2)

Level 2 is about:

Level 3: Advanced Marksmanship

(Non-Defensive | With Holsters | Skill-Focused)

Purpose

Level 3 is designed to develop high-confidence, high-consistency shooters through refined marksmanship, distance work, and precision control — without tactical or defensive framing.

Hour 1 – Introduction, Safety & Mindset (Classroom)

  • Why women-only training (comfort, pace, communication)
  • The 4 Rules of Firearm Safety

  • Gear overview (eye/ear protection, ammo, handgun types)

Hands-On (No Ammo)

  • Safe direction awareness
  • Proper firearm pickup and set-down
  • Checking firearm condition (clear / loaded)

Hour 2 – Firearm Fundamentals & Operation (Classroom + Dry Practice)

Duration: 60 minutes

Objectives

  • Understand how pistols work
  • Remove intimidation through knowledge

  • What a firearm is and how it works
  • Semi-auto vs revolver (basic comparison)
  • Ammunition basics (caliber, components)
  • Controls:
    • Magazine release
    • Slide
    • Safety / decocker (if applicable)
    • Trigger function

Hands-On (Inert / Dry)

  • Loading and unloading (dummy rounds)
  • Slide manipulation techniques (female-friendly methods)
  • Malfunction awareness (tap-rack overview)

Hour 3 – Shooting Fundamentals & Dry Fire Skills

Duration: 60 minutes

  • Build correct habits before live fire
  • Increase confidence and consistency

  • Proper grip (strength-neutral techniques)
  • Sight alignment & sight picture
  • Trigger control (press vs pull)

Dry Practice

  • Draw from low-ready (no holsters)
  • Safe reholstering discussion (if applicable)

Hour 4 – Live Fire Range Session (1 Full Hour)

Duration: 60 minutes

Round Count: ~50–75 rounds per student

Distance: 3–7 yards

Ladies Only Pistol Level 2

North Idaho Firearms Training
Course Overview
This Ladies Only Pistol Level 2 course is designed for women who already possess safe firearm handling skills and are ready to advance their defensive pistol proficiency through structured live-fire training. This class is conducted entirely on the range and focuses on safe weapon manipulation, holster work, movement, target engagement, and performance-based shooting standards.
Students will develop confidence, improve weapon handling efficiency, and complete a live-fire qualification course under instructor supervision.

Students will receive instruction and live-fire training in:
● Safe holster carry techniques
● Drawing and shooting from the holster
● Reloading from a magazine pouch

● Serviceable pistol (.22LR or 9mm recommended)
● Holster
(No leather, nylon, soft, or collapsing holsters permitted)
● Duty belt or sturdy belt system
● Magazine pouch
● 2–3 spare magazines minimum
● 500 rounds of ammunition
● Range bag or gun case
● Eye protection
● Ear protection
● Closed toe shoes
